Madeline Runco
Madeline was born with Aortic Stenosis as an infant and underwent open heart surgery when she was 2 years old. Luckily, she has had no complications and has a very successful and happy life. In 2021, when pregnant with her first child, she found out her son was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries. Alex was born in late September and had his own open-heart surgery a few days later. Alex’s surgery was a success and he is a happy, bouncing, flirty little boy. Thankful for early detection and year of research, Madeline’s family is incredibly supportive of the cause.
Madeline holds a Master of Professional Studies in Technology Management from Georgetown University and has spent her career working as an Alliance professional in technology companies. As a Heart Warrior and Heart Mom, she has been more involved with organizations supporting congenital heart defects.
